UFC Fighter Derrick Lewis Mocks Travis Browne With His Abuse Allegations: He Even Asked Where Ronda Rousey Is At
Derrick Lewis is known for not holding back anything and this came true once more after a Sunday night event. After knocking out UFC fighter Travis Browne, Lewis mockingly asked where his current girlfriend, Ronda Rousey is at. This is in light of the domestic abuse allegations that Browne is facing.
Apparently, Derrick Lewis made a scene in the main event of UFC Fight Night 105 held in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. After a second-round knockout of Travis Browne, Lewis brought up his opponent's domestic abuse allegations in a post-interview with Brian Stann. He even took a step further when he asked about Browne's current girlfriend, Ronda Rousey who is the ex-UFC women's bantamweight champion.
"I just knew I had a bigger heart than him," Derrick Lewis said. "He call(s) himself a man, but he likes to put his hands on women. So, forget that guy. I got much more heart than he has. Where's Ronda Rousey's fine [expletive] at?"
This is in light of the incident from July 2015 when Jenna Webb, Travis Browne's ex-wife, accused him of beating her up. Jenna provided evidence by posting a photo on her Instagram account that shows several bruises on her body. After which, the No. 9 ranked UFC heavyweight was generally suspended by the company itself due to a pending investigation. However, Browne denied the accusations and there were no charges filed. Later on, he was reinstated after the investigation shown found him not guilty. (via Yahoo!)
Derrick Lewiss may have won but he has struggled in the first round after Travis Browne landed him a series of heavy body kicks. However, the 32-year-old told Stann that he wasn't really in trouble and that he just need to do something.
Lewiss mentioned about doing No. 2 and that he's not really from the kicks he had received from Browne. Instead, he "just got a boo boo."
