Won Bin's Little Kiddo Kim Sae Ron Misses Him
Actress Kim Sae Ron, Won Bin's little kiddo, revealed she's curious of the actor's current whereabouts. Hallyu star Won Bin's lengthy absence from the entertainment industry makes not just millions of his fans but also his former child co-star from the 2010 action-thriller "The Man From Nowhere" wonder as to how he's doing now.
Kim Sae Ron, now 16, talked about Won Bin during a recent interview where she revealed being curious as to his latest activities and getting updates about him through "The Man From Nowhere" director Lee Jung Beom, according to Koreaboo.
The young star shared that the director often jokes about doing a sequel to the film where she'd appear for a cameo role. The co-stars became close friends when they filmed the blockbuster film seven years ago.
"I usually call Won Bin, 'Uncle'," AllKpop quoted Kim Sae Ron as saying on MBC FM4U's "Jung Yeob's Blue Night" in 2011. ">I often miss text messages because of school and director told me I'm probably the only person in the country who ignores Won Bin's texts."
The 39-year-old star has not made any films or dramas since 2010 and has reportedly been turning down various offers in search of his perfect project although he has expressed his disappointment at his short acting resume. "When looking at my career, I feel a bit sad that I don't have many films or diverse projects," he said in an interview with "My Daily" in 2009, according to KDrama Stars.
"Since I've taken long breaks after each film, each time I feel like I'm starting over as a rookie again," he shared. "It feels like a new start. I do think I'd like to work more than I have in the past. I'm not the type of person who can work prolifically and when I'm deeply involved in one thing, I can't do something else." "Goblin" writer Kim Eun Sook is reportedly eyeing Won Bin for her next drama.
