'Goblin' Writer Kim Eun Sook Want Won Bin Or Kang Dong Won For Next Project
"Goblin" writer Kim Eun Sook revealed she wants Hallyu stars Won Bin or Kang Dong Won for her next project as the hit tvN series just ended.
The writer's recent drama just ended Saturday with a record-breaking viewer rating of 20 percent based on the data revealed by Nielsen Korea but already Kim Eun Sook is being asked about her next project.
According to allkpop, the writer has set her eyes on either Won Bin or Kang Dong Won. This would follow the trend of her hit dramas which are known not just for her captivating storyline but also for the top male actors that she has cast.
Her string of notable dramas include "Heirs" starring Lee Min Ho, "Secret Garden" starring Hyun Bin, "A Gentleman's Dignity" starring Jang Dong Gun, "Descendants of the Sun" that made Song Joong Ki a star and the recently concluded "Goblin" starring Gong Yoo.
The "Train to Busan" star rejected the offers made by the writer in a span of five years before he finally agreed to work with her on "Goblin."
"Writer Kim has been really kind, offering me roles over and over again. The reason I rejected previous offers was not because I feel like I was special, but because I was afraid of shooting a drama," said the 37-year-old actor, as reported by Yahoo.
He explained, "Unless it is a pre-made drama, the physical conditions are quite different. I am not putting the blame on the environment, but as an actor, I want to show my performance when I am in my best condition."
According to dramabeans, her agency revealed that Kim Eun Sook plans to take three months of vacation before she works on her next project. She's interested in writing a historical drama that will be aired sometime next year.
Won Bin's last TV drama was "Friends" in 2002 while Kang Dong Won's last drama was "Magic" in 2004.
