‘Legend Of The Blue Sea’ Actress Jun Ji Hyun Tops List Of Hallyu Female Stars With Hot Non-Celebrity Husbands
Several of South Korea's famous female celebrities married men who were not part of the entertainment industry. Among Hallyu stars such as Jun Ji Hyun, Han Chae Young and Kim Hee Sun, the "Legend of the Blue Sea" actress was identified as the top celebrity who tied the knot with a handsome and successful non-celebrity man.
Lee Min Ho's co-star in "Legend of the Blue Sea" nabbed the first place on the Top Three list of Hallyu female stars with hot husbands, as compiled by Korea Herald. Jun married her long-time friend, banker Choi Jun Hyuk in April 2012.
Having met during their teenage years where the two resided in the same neighborhood, Jun and Choi's relationship turned romantic when the actress helped to take care of the banker when he fell sick several years back. Choi, known among his peers and office colleagues for his handsome looks and fit physique, comes from a prominent family with the respected hanbok designer Lee Young Hee and designer Lee Jung Woo as his grandmother and mother, respectively.
Coming in at second place is the "Only You" star Han who married the businessman Choi Dong Jun in May 2007. Similar to Jun's spouse, Han's husband also has a handsome face and even pursued an acting career during the late 1990s. However, his foray into the entertainment field did not flourish and he ended up juggling a successful business with a profession in investment banking.
Meanwhile, "Angry Mom" star Kim landed at number three given her marriage to the highly successful businessman Park Ju Young. Park's good looks and fit body even nabbed him at a spot at a men's magazine.
In other news, Jun's mermaid fantasy drama ended its 20-episode run with double-digit nationwide TV ratings of 17.9 percent, according to Nielsen Korea, as cited by Yonhap News. Across the Seoul metropolitan area, the SBS drama's finale posted viewership shares of 18.8 percent.
Jun's "Legend of the Blue Sea" aired it final episode on Jan. 25, Wednesday, on SBS.
