Kim Heechul Addresses Gay Rumors Once Again

Super Junior's Kim Heechul touched on the never-ending gay rumors surrounding him as fellow bandmates revealed they even questioned his sexuality.

The 33-year-old Super Junior member tackled the issue of homosexuality once again as he recalled a blind item that shocked even himself.

Kim Heechul was joined by fellow bandmates Leeteuk and Shindong on Saturday's episode of JTBC's "Ask Us Anything." The guests brought up a past incident when someone posted a blind item in their chat room about a top star "A" who was described as someone often seen in variety programs, close to girl groups and has a gender identity crisis.

Kim Heechul said he himself was intrigued to find out the top star's identity but so it shocked him when he read that the blind item pointed at him.

Leeteuk added that the idol members then began confronting Kim Heechul about the truth of the blind item while the latter said he felt betrayed.

His former co-hosts at MBC's "Radio Star" also asked the SM idol about the ongoing gay rumors.

"Some time ago, I heard that Kim Heechul was gay. Someone came up to me and said, very seriously, thatMithraallkpop quoted Kim Gura as saying in 2010 when Kim Heechul joined them as fellow MC.

MC Yoong Jong Shin also brought up rapper-comedian Defconn who's also known as Kim Heechul's close friend.

"It's nearly on the level of glorification," said Yoong Jong Shin on Defconn's affection for his friend even on Twitter.

">Macho men with beards usually really like me," responded Kim Heechul. "Despite being an idol, I really like girls. You'll see later when I get married"

Even then, Kim Gura still noted, "It could be a disguise."

The Super Junior member is known to be close friends with numerous female celebrities such as "Running Man" member Song Ji Hyo, Hallyu star Park Shin Hye and fellow singers Yoona and Sulli.
