TWICE Tops Brand Reputation List; Beats BLACKPINK, Red Velvet
TWICE nabbed the highest score in a recent brand reputation index for Kpop girl groups. The said band even bested BLACKPINK and Red Velvet, including Girls Generation, Apink, and others.
TWICE took the top spot on a brand reputation index for the month of February. The Kpop girl group scored 7,241,802 points, according to data gathered by the Korea Business Research Institute, as cited by Soompi.
Coming at second place is YG Entertainment's girl group BLACKPINK, followed by Red Velvet. The two bands garnered brand reputation index scores of 6,297,125 points and 5,210,310 points, respectively.
At fourth place is AOA, while Cosmic Girls landed at number five. The bottom part of the February brand reputation index's top 10 list includes Apink at sixth place, followed by I.O.I., Lovelyz, Girls Generation and MAMAMOO.
Meanwhile, TWICE is gearing for the band's upcoming Japan debut. Promotional activities and materials about the Kpop girl group's foray into the Japanese music scene have already started with large banners posted prominently on a tall building located in Japan's Shibuya district, All Kpop reported.
TWICE has also created a Japan-specific social media and online accounts in preparation for their upcoming debut in the said Asian country. However, the girl group's official Japan website currently only contains a clip of the band's music video that also includes name descriptions of each member.
In other news, the Kpop group is set to unveil its new album in the coming weeks. In a social media update posted on the band's official Twitter account, TWICE uploaded a colorful depiction of a closed door with a hand knocking on it.
The said Twitter image also contained a quick note about the new album's expected Feb. 20 release. The social message read, "TWICE 02.20 0 AM KNOCK KNOCK."

Apart from the impending new album launch, the Kpop girl group will also hold a series of performances in Seoul. TWICE's upcoming concert will be held at the SK Olympic Handball Stadium from Feb. 17 to Feb. 19.
