'Street Fighter V' DLC Includes New Character; Kolin Will Join The Cast This February
A new "Street Fighter V" DLC is about to arrive as the Capcom announced earlier this week. Featuring the character named Kolin, Capcom introduced her with the use of a trailer video.
The Euro Gamer confirmed that Kolin will be joining the roster once the new "Street Fighter V" DLC is launched on the last day of February. Capcom released a new video featuring Kolin with a new track from Lupe Fiasco, It's not Design.
Kolin is not literally a new character since she was already part of the Street Fighter III character lineup. She was part of the story line in the Street Fighter III as she protects Gill, filling the Prophecy of Miraha.
As seen in the video trailer, Kolin unleashes her powers with ice element. Deadly ice shards and explosive ice blasts are her common skills that can kill anyone who tries to block her way. Kolin's basic fighting style is called Systema, Russian martial arts using quick, but powerful attacks.
The Polygon reported that Kolin was speculated to have a name called Helen. With the image released by Capcom via Twitter, Kolin was unveiled with an image with an ice on the background.
Along with Akuma, Kolin is part of the "Street Fighter V" Season 2 Character Pass, which will be released in the near future. The said Character Pass can be purchased for $30 as Capcom also confirmed that there will be a total of six new characters once released.
Kolin is a playable character at the launch party that will happen in San Francisco this February 15th. Kolin will be officially joining the "Street Fighter V" roster this coming February 28th. Capcom promised to deliver new contents in the near future and they are committed to adding new characters to the roster of the "Street Fighter V."
