Hwayoung Angered Fans With His Leaked Audio Clip: BOYS24 Member Says Fans Make Him Want To Puke

Hwayoung, one of BOYS24 member, has become viral after a controversial leaked audio clip of him went online. The said audio clip has angered many fans as the South Korean boy band member was heard saying how he hates fans calling him "Oppa." While this alone sparked an act of rudeness to KPop fans, he has also insensitively attacked them by describing after-concert events.

Boys24 is a pre-debut male group from South Korea and has been formed under CJ E&M. It was created as I.O.I.'s (Ideal of Idol) successor, a South Korean girl group from the same company's reality show, "Produce 101." The boy group has then divided by CJ E&M into four units which are Unit Yellow, Unit White, Unit Sky, and Unit Green.

It has over 20 members and one of which is Hwayoung, who was placed in the Unit Sky, has become a center of controversy recently. His leaked audio clip, as reported by Koreaboo, states how he liked being called "oppo" but not by his fans. He then attacked his fans by telling them that he hates going to hi-touch events that usually follows the concerts.

"I like being called Oppa, not when I hear it from fans, though I fucking hate that. Ya, Fuck. It's so annoying when we do the Hi-Touch. You know, the Hi-Touch? Like when you hold hands and greet fans after the concert is over. Every day I go through like 700~800 people and I feel like I'm going to puke," said Hwayoung. "Their fucking breath smells like shit."

After the audio clip leaked online, their agency spoke on behalf of BOYS24 and it revealed that Hwayoung will not be coming to the boy group's upcoming event on Friday, Feb. 10.
