'Madden 17' Predicted The NFL Super Bowl LI; EA Sports Got The Same Result As The Real NFL Championship
"Madden 17" successfully predicted the Super Bowl LI Champions earlier this week. The New Orleans Patriots were able to overcome the Atlanta Falcons in a simulation game made by the EA Sports, where it actually happened in the real-life NFL championship match.
The Polygon confirmed that the EA Sports used the "Madden 17" LI Game Simulation to predict the Super Bowl 51. EA Sports run a simulation match last week before the official NFL Super Bowl LI kickoff.
In the "Madden 17" simulation, the New England Patriots had some troubles in the first half. Devonta Freeman had a touchdown score for the Falcons, coming from a 15-yard pass from Matt Ryan.
The Patriots scored a touchdown of their own as Tom Brady threw a pass to Chris Hogan to complete the 38-yard touchdown. The first-half ended with the Falcons leading 17-10.
The second-half a rally for the Patriots, the team started to get back with the help of Dion Lewis to tie the game at 17. Though the Falcons were able to fight back, the Patriots have already gained their momentum as they finish the game with 27-24 led by the Patriots.
In the real world, the Patriots have also beaten the Falcons with 34-28 and eventually named as the Super Bowl LI champions. The title marks the 5th title of the Patriot under Tom Brady's leadership and considered to the be a 7th title of the New England since 1967 confirmed by the USA Today.
EA Sports also held a prediction last 2015, during that time, they were able to predict the exact score as well. Since then, EA Sports used to run a Super Bowl simulation every year, at least before the actual Super Bowl champion kickoff.
