BTS’ Extended Track ‘Outro: Wings’ Banned By KBS: Here’s Why Song Was Considered Unfit For Broadcast
One of the songs in BTS' upcoming album "You Never Walk Alone" will never be released on KBS. Recently, the South Korean network decided to ban "Outer: Wings" given its inappropriate content.
BTS is set to unveil its new album titled "You Never Walk Alone" that contains extended tracks from the Kpop band's second studio album "Wings." Fans will also soon hear a different version of "Interlude: Wings," one of the tracks from the said album.
Named "Outer: Intro," the song is the full version of "Interlude: Wings" and is included in the soon-to-be-released album "You Never Walk Alone." However, avid fans will never get to see its music video or hear it playing on the South Korea network KBS.
Given the said BTS song's lyrics that contained profanity and several vulgar words, network officials deemed it inappropriate for broadcast, according to MT Star, as cited by Soompi. A representative from the K-pop group's agency Big Hit Entertainment also mentioned that despite the track's controversial lyrics, they decided not to remove the swear words when the firm presented the song to KBS for evaluation.
Meanwhile, BTS is gearing up to promote it new album "You Never Walk Alone." Scheduled for release on Feb. 13, the Kpop group already unveiled the said album's track list that includes a mix of old and new songs such as extended versions of "MAMA," "Lie," "Begin," as well as new tracks titled "Not Today," "A Supplementary Story: You Never Walk Alone" and others.
In other news, BTs recently celebrated its 4 million follower count on the V app with a special V Live event, Korea Herald reported. Band members Suga, J-Hope, V and Rap Monster showed off their dance moves in a medley of songs, while other members such as Jimin and Jungkook talked about trying to shed their Busan accent.
BTS' special V Live celebration ended with a food fest and the band members thanking the fans for their support.
