Microsoft Unveils New Devices Powered By Windows 10

Microsoft wants to relaunch the windows phone wallet app, a payment app that stores membership cards information, credit cards and even coupons, according to Tech Times.

These are what you usually bring with you in your purse and Microsoft wants things to be efficient for the users so they have this app. This app has a Wallet PIN to protect your purchases, referring to the description in Windows Phone website.

The user can manage payment through the application, link some items from an app to the windows phone wallet app and can make contactless activities using the Near-Field Communication.

Phones that are running on Windows 8.1 can top-up additional items like, boarding passes up to event tickets to the Windows phone Wallet app.

The Microsoft's corporate VP of its operating systems Joe Belfiore told The Verge, "Windows is going to have a wallet concept. You've seen it on phones before. We're going to continue to iterate it."

Although, he didn't say the exact launch date of the app or the other payment process would apply. The developers need to think the possibilities and range for payment scenarios. As for Re/code report, Belfiore answered "soon" to the question asked about its launching date. After the Lenovo Yoga launch event Belfiore said, "We have a bunch of work we are doing there." As reported on Re/code.

Instead, Belfiore presented Windows Hello, the new Windows 10 facial recognition technology. This app will be the security type technology the users want to have in their devices to make payments even better, as reported on The Verge.

Apple and Google are putting pressure as big competitors of Microsoft that are constantly gearing up with their mobile payment systems, so we could expect the Windows Wallet app will be up "sooner ... better than later," as posted on TechTimes.
