NES Classic Edition Restock News & Update: Nintendo Console Sold Out At GameStop; Main Reason Behind Supply Shortage Revealed

NES Classic Edition stock is still one of the most talked about topics in the gaming industry today. Now, new reports are claiming that supply of the console remains to scarce until now.

GameSpot reported that there was an NES Classic Edition markdown happened this week at GameStop. According to the reports, the game store has opened three bundles of the console and indicated that it will start shipping the gaming system on Feb. 1.

The NES Classic Edition sale kicked off on Tuesday but only limited number of consoles are available. Making the event more interesting is the fact that each buyer can only purchase one unit.

GameSpot also revealed that GameStop ships two NES Classic Edition units at a time. It can be recalled that Nintendo has launched the console in November, which effortlessly became a big hit with gamers around the world.

The first batch of NES Classic Edition was sold in November 2016 at only $60. Among the games included in the popular gaming system include "The Legend of Zelda," "Castlevania," "Mega Man 2" and "Super Mario Bros."

Meanwhile, Spoiler Scoop reported that Target had been negotiating with Nintendo to improve the NES Classic Edition console supply. There is no doubt that the demand for the popular console has been growing since last year, resulting in scarce of supply.

Though there is a high demand for the NES Classic Edition, several gamers all over the planet are wondering why Nintendo is not releasing new batches as of yet. Well, Reggie Films-Aime has divulged that the company knows the about the shortage and they will address it very soon.

What happened with NES Classic is that was a situation where the global demand was well in excess of anything we had anticipated, and that's what created shortages," Nintendo of America's president and chief operating officer has stated about NES Classic Edition supply shortage. "The good news, at least for consumers in the Americas, is we're going to continue to make the NES Classic available."

Unfortunately, Reggie Films-Aime did not give an exact date on when the new batches of NES Classic Edition console will arrive. However, his revelations are already enough for those who have been patiently waiting to have the popular console.
