The latest "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" trailer was released on ESPN's "Monday Night Football," giving fans a lengthier preview of the film, according to Cinema Blend. With less than two months left before the film's Dec. 18 release, this final trailer drummed up excitement and anticipation from the fans of the franchise.

The 'Force Awakens' trailer showed almost two minutes of new footage, including vast alien ruins and landscapes, and  some of the main characters in action.

It starts with the new female lead Rey in full scavenger gear, exploring what looks to be a wreckage of a space craft, according to Buzzfeed's scene-by-scene report. Finn, the stormtrooper-turned-rebel lead character also had a lot of appearances in the trailer. He was shown holding a blue lightsaber, facing the film's antagonist, Kylo Ren.

The voice of Kylo Ren is first heard in this 'Star Wars: The Force Awakens' trailer. It is far from actor Adam Driver's speaking voice, and sounds more like Darth Vader's computer-synthesized grumble. Han Solo, a role reprised by veteran actor Harrison Ford, also delivered very interesting sound bites in this sneak peek.

After all the released trailers, fans have yet to see Luke Skywalker, the main protagonist of the first three films. A scene in this trailer though, showed a cloaked figure with a mechanical hand reaching out and touching R2-D2. This could be Luke, who lost his hand fighting Darth Vader, or this could just be Kylo Ren, according to The Guardian.

The trailer revealed several action-packed montages, including rebels massing up, dogfights between tie fighters and x wings, and a tension-filled stare-down between Kylo Ren and Finn.

Tickets for the "Force Awakens" went on sale alongside the new trailer's release, and it was well-received by fans, so much so that numerous speculations and fan-made theories arose since the clip went public. Online ticket outlets Fandango and MovieTickets.com reportedly crashed because of the sudden surge in traffic, according to BuzzFeed.
