Kim Tae Hee’s Brother Lee Wan Said Rain Makes Him Feel Awkward
Kim Tae Hee's brother Lee Wan revealed how he felt awkward around his future brother-in-law Rain, who's been dating his sister since 2013.
The actress' 33-year-old younger brother admitted he didn't get to spend enough time hanging out with the 34-year-old pop star but Lee Wan appeared hopeful with the prospect of the couple's marriage.
"It's still awkward to be around him," KPop Herald quoted the actor as saying on the show "Our Neighborhood Variety" in 2014. "I use honorifics for him."
He then expressed his intentions of getting to know his sister's boyfriend better.
"I will go out for a few drinks once they decide to marry," he said in an interview in March.
The singer-actor finally confirmed the news of his impending marriage with the 36-year-old actress in a handwritten letter to his fans that he posted on Instagram.
"She is the best present for me," wrote Rain about his fiancée.
He added "I also hope to become a respectable husband and man, as the head of a new family. She has been protecting me by my side indefinitely, whether I was happy or facing difficulties, and has moved me to many things, all this time."
Rain previously explained during his recent guest appearance on "Knowing Brothers" that his new song "Best Present" refers to a marriage proposal as the best present of all. The singer, however, denied the dating rumors at that time.
"Gangnam Style" singer Psy, who produced the song with Rain in mind, revealed after the wedding announcement that the lyrics of "Best Present" contained Rain's secret message for Kim Tae Hee.
The "Yong Pal" actress also appeared hopeful in sharing a future with Rain.
"He has a warm heart. I think we can make up for each other's shortcomings," Soompi quoted her as saying in an interview with InStyle Magazine last year.
