PD Of 'Off the Record, Suzy' Gets Slammed For Suggestive Comment
Netizens drew flak on one of the "Off the Record, Suzy" PDs who raised a suggestive comment at singer-actress Suzy during the first broadcast Sunday.
The broadcast of the new solo reality program showed the 22-year-old member of "Miss A" girl group drinking with the said PD. He asked if she can show some photos from her phone so she began scrolling through her mobile.
"I'm sure you don't have anything lewd, or anything," said the PD as Suzy hesitated.
Suzy quickly answered, "There's nothing lewd. Just a lot of sweet photos."
According to allkpop, not everyone reacted negatively to this conversation but those netizens who disapproved of the PD's statement thought that this can be considered as sexual harassment.
One of the show's PDs then allegedly took to Facebook to refute the allegations.
"You felt that way... It wasn't anything like that, and there were a lot of things talked about during the filming. I think it was edited like that because we wanted to work with Suzy's comments as she was looking through her phone!" wrote the PD as a reply to a Facebook post.
The PD under fire then asked during the first episode about the goings on between Suzy and Lee Min Ho, her 29-year-old offscreen boyfriend and "Legend of the Blue Sea" star.
"Do you go on dates with him a lot? Maybe once a month?" he asked her.
Suzy vaguely replied so he probed further, "Once a week? Once every two weeks? Three weeks?"
Suzy didn't comment anymore so the PD concluded as Suzy burst out in laughter, "That means you only see each other once a month!"
The young celebrity couple confirmed their dating status in 2015. Lee Min Ho openly talked about wanting to marry Suzy but the fans might not be hearing wedding bells soon as both are currently focusing on their individual careers.
