Rain Says Falling In Love Resulted To His New Album; Not To Wed Kim Tae Hee Yet
Pop star Rain said that love led him to create new songs for his album but that he's still not ready to settle down with girlfriend-actress Kim Tae Hee.
The 34-year-old singer-actor appeared as a guest on Saturday's episode of the variety show "Knowing Brothers" where he denied rumors of an impending marriage.
Rain talked about his new song "Best Present" produced by none other than "Gangnam Style" singer Psy.
"Psy called me around 3 a.m. one night, saying that he has a song that's perfect for me," he said, according to K-Pop Herald.
He went on to explain that the song means that the best present one can give to a lover is a marriage proposal. The show's hosts naturally took the cue and asked the singer if he also meant to propose to his 36-year-old girlfriend soon.
The couple has been dating since 2013 but Rain revealed that they still don't have any plans to walk down the aisle.
Rain also appeared January 10 on KBS' "Yoo Hee Yeol's Sketchbook" where he talked candidly about love.
"When you fall in love, you start creating such songs," allkpop quoted him as saying.
Kim Tae Hee, meanwhile, described Rain in last year's interview with InStyle Magazine as "a man of good character."
She said that she's gotten to know Rain more and more as their relationship matured and that they've already overcome arguments and tough times together.
"He has a warm heart. I think we can make up for each other's shortcomings," said the "Yong Pal actress, according to Soompi.
She also gave a peek into their private life as a couple.
"Our dates are so ordinary," said Kim Tae Hee. "We eat delicious food and we talk a lot. We're similar and have common interests to talk about. I'm quiet by nature, but he's talkative and fun. So, we're always talking to each other."
