HTC Vive Is About To Go Wireless; New HTC TPCast Wireless Device Is Set To Release This Year
The HTC Vive is now ready to become wireless as the company announced their new add-on accessory to their VR headset. The TPCast devices will act as a wireless converter for the "HTC Vive" that will eliminate those worrisome long cables.
The EnGadget were able to get a hands-on review with the TPCast wireless device and they said that the device was simply amazing. HTC is really making things easier for all the VR fans across the globe.
TPCast features a small device attached to the top part of the "HTC Vive" VR Headset. The traditional cables connected between the VR headset and the PC will then be removed. However, a small cable will still run, but it will be a connection between the TPCast itself and the battery pack.
The battery pack can be inserted into the user's pocket or be worn on the belt. The initial battery can be used up to 1 and a half hour of straight gaming.
As per the Mashable, it is very obvious that the HTC company wants to bring the Virtual Reality gaming to the next level. With the release of the TPCast to the "HTC Vive," it is safe to say that the company plans to release another accessory or upgrade to their VR headset.
The TPCast wireless device was first seen in the recent CES 2017 held in Las Vegas. It has been said that the TPCast will be released somewhere between April and June of this year and is rumored to be sold in the market for $249 per kit.
