NBA Trade Rumor: Rajon Rondo To Land In Cleveland; The Bulls Ready To Send Him Away?
Rajon Rondo seems to be facing a tough situation this season with the Chicago Bulls. Rondo's uncertain role with the Bulls led him to ask for a trade and was currently linked to the Cleveland Cavaliers.
The Bulls fans haven't been able to see Rajon Rondo on the court for almost 5 games now. He has been on the bench since he was pulled from the court during the action against the Indian Pacers last week.
As per the Chicago Tribune said in their report, Chicago Bulls head coach Fred Hoiberg said in an interview that they are not going to change how the team's rotation is doing. Hoiberg even praised Rondo for understanding the situation and will provide the right time to play in the next couple of weeks.
With Rondo on the bench, Michael Carter-Williams was able to cover all the things need for a point guard on their team. Rondo admitted that he has been struggling from the defensive end this season and has been working out since then.
Rondo asked to talk to the management earlier this week and it seems that they both agree to let Rondo out for a trade. We may recall that Rajon Rondo confirmed that if he will remain on the bench, he would ask for a trade.
As of today, according to the CBS Sports, the Cleveland Cavaliers are looking for the right backup point guard to Kyrie Irving. Iman Shumpert, Kay Felder and Jordan McRae has been playing point for the team, but obviously not enough to cover things for Kyrie Irving even for a few minutes.
It has been reported that Rajon Rondo and Mario Chalmers are among the target point guard that the Cavaliers are eyeing. Though the Cavs are in no rush, with LeBron asking for a better backup point guard, it may seem to be one between Rondo and Chalmers could have another title shot this season with the Cavaliers.
