G-Dragon Reveals Big Bang Can Survive Without One Member

by Chiqui Guyjoco / Jan 05, 2017 02:26 AM EST
YG Entertainment reveals the reason why Big Bang chooses December 12 for their comeback.

K-Pop icon G-Dragon said there's at least one member hip hop boy band Big Bang can do without.

Hallyu stars Big Bang appeared Wednesday on MBC Everyone's "Weekly Idol" as part of their comeback promotion activities since December last year.

The 28-year-old singer-songwriter and fashion icon was first to arrive in the show with a small car toy. He was followed by the 29-year-old rapper T.O.P.

"The eccentric artist that Big Bang can't do without," introduced G-Dragon.

The MCs quickly reacted to this and asked him, "Then do you even have members you can do without?"

"There's at least one person," he joked.

Though G-Dragon and the rest of the members left it at that and did not drop any name, the youngest member Seungri is regarded as among the idols who endure the most teasing from the other members.

The 26-year-old Big Bang star himself admitted that he gets "bad feedback" whenever he's with the four members so he turned to business to relieve stress. This explained why Seungri keeps 3,200 contacts on his phone.

G-Dragon and 28-year-old Taeyang also dished out an embarrassing story on Seungri's dating life when they guested on MBC's "Radio Star." The older members revealed how Seungri mistakenly thought that he was dating a girl for over a year. The girl, it turned out, was actually seeing someone else.

Picking on each other seems to be a normal thing among the Big Bang members. G-Dragon himself took a hit when the rest of his bandmates revealed that G-Dragon's dating life actually sucks.

G-Dragon also exposed that T.O.P. "cries often these days" and also losing weight since he's among the stars who'll be entering military duty in 2017.

Big Bang provided huge laughter when they failed to do the "Random Play Dance" on "Weekly Idol."

The band, however, made it to Forbes' list of "30 Under 30." They reportedly made a whopping $44 million last year and ranked 54th highest paid celebrities in the world.

"We made more than Maroon 5?" Forbes quoted G-Dragon as saying. "Did not know that. My mom is in charge of my earnings."
