Hallyu star Hyun Bin revealed his character in the film "Cooperation" attracted him so much that he became ambitious in wanting to do all the action scenes himself.

The 34-year-old actor talked about his role in the upcoming movie "Cooperation" (also known as "Confidential Assignment") during a photo shoot with "1st Look" magazine.

"It really hit home that I might never be able to meet such a character at another time," allkpop quoted Hyun Bin as saying. "I also wanted to try all of the action scenes myself, so I grew ambitious. It was very hard, but I felt like I achieved a lot because of that."

He plays the character of Im Chul Ryung, a North Korean detective who's sent to South Korea to capture Cha Ki Sung, the leader of a North Korean refugee crime group. Im Chul Ryung ends up working in tandem with a South Korean detective named Kang Jin Tae. The 44-year-old "My Wife Got Married" star Kim Joo Hyuk plays the bad guy Cha Ki Sung while the 46-year-old character actor Yoo Hae Jin.

Hyun Bin also talked about how the veteran actor served as an inspiration for him during their first film together.

"I really liked being able to film with him," he said. "He has the basics down of elegantly being considerate toward another person. I learned a lot from him and, as an actor, he inspired me in many different areas."

"Cooperation" is Hyun Bin's first movie in two years after "The Fatal Encounter." Talks of his comeback to the small screen also circulated with reports that Hyun Bin and Jang Dong Gun will star on "City of Star."

Both actors' labels dismissed the rumors as false. Hyun Bin's label VAST Entertainment clarified that the actor has not yet confirmed to join the drama while Jang Dong Gun's label SM C&C said the star has not received an offer for the project.
