SBS Releases New 'Legend of the Blue Sea' Teaser Featuring GOT7’s Jinyoung
As the premiere of "Legend of the Blue Sea" draws close, SBS has been eagerly releasing teasers for the show. Fans are in for a greater treat this time, as it was revealed GOT7's Park Jinyoung will play as the younger counterpart of Lee Min Ho's role in the drama.
SBS released some photo stills featuring the lead roles to be portrayed by Lee Min Ho and Jun Ji Hyun. The teaser also revealed that the main characters of "The Legend of the Blue Sea" will have established a connection with each other in multiple generations. As such, the characters playing the lead characters as children will be child actors Jin Seo and So Won. As young adults, the roles will be played by GOT7's Park Jinyoung and Shin Eun Soo. As the story will revolve in these two characters, fans are definitely expecting great chemistry between the pairs apart from good acting.
"The Legend of the Blue Sea" is a fantasy romance that follows the story of the last mermaid on Earth named Sim Cheong (Jun Ji Hyun.) As she goes into the unfamiliar land of humans in the 21st century, she meets genius swindler Heo Joon-Jae (Lee Min Ho) who was the reincarnation of nobleman Kim Dam-Ryung from the Joseon era. As the two meet, they both realize their fate but that comes after they get past their first awkward meeting together.
The story's premise offers a lot of possible scenarios, from hilarious scenes to romantic ones. In fact, snippets of those kinds of encounter were already released by SBS to tease fans. As such, there is already a high expectation for SBS' upcoming drama series and fans are definitely expecting to see more of the chemistry between Lee Min Ho and Jun Ji Hyun.
"The Legend of the Blue Sea" is expected to air on Nov. 16. It will take over the time slot occupied by drama series "Don't Dare to Dream (Jealousy Incarnate)."
