Yoo Jae Suk Donates 50 Million Won To Victims Of Typhoon Chaba
Nation's MC and entertainer Yoo Jae Suk showed his generosity and kind-heartedness by donating a large amount of money to the victims of Typhoon Chaba.
According to Hope Bridge National Natural Disaster Rescue Committee, Yoo Jae Suk donated 50 Million Won ($50,000) on October 7th, in order to help people who were affected by the disaster. The money will be used to help the residents in southern cities of South Korea who have been destroyed and displaced by the typhoon.
Currently, Busan and other affected provinces in the country suffer serious damage brought by Typhoon Chaba. The typhoon flooded several residential areas, destroyed road signs due to strong winds while the recovery operations team was alert for any emergencies.
The comedian has already donated four times this year to the Hope Bridge National Natural Disaster Rescue Committee and he has been a long-time sponsor of many institutions for the poor in South Korea. Many netizens was touched by his good actions and personality so people called him as "Nation's MC".
On August 12th, a representative from Social Welfare House of Sharing unveiled that the host and comedian donated 30 Million Won for the construction of a victim center and another 20 Million Won to support the victims' welfare.
"This past August 11, Yoo Jae Suk donated 50 million Won (~$45,520 USD) in total to the house of sharing for elderly women who were victims of Japanese comfort women abuses. He didn't make his donation known, but we found out later that it was Yoo Jae Suk," a representative from Social Welfare House of Sharing said.
This is the fifth time that Yoo Jae Suk made a donation this year for charitable organizations that aid in the relief of the less fortunate people. Recently, he was nicknamed as "donation angel" for his consistent charitable efforts.
Furthermore, Hope Bridge and other organizations are encouraging people to donate for the good cause of helping and supporting not only the victims of Typhoon Chaba, but also the less fortunate and poor individuals.
