‘Korea Sale Festa’ Kicks Off Sales During Its Opening!

"Korea Sale Festa" celebration in South Korea has kicked off its sales starting from its opening last September 30 according to South Korea's trade ministry.

As a part of the massive shopping campaign of the "2016-2018 Visit Korea Year" and "Korea Sale FESTA" which will run from October 1 to October 31, the event aims to improve and develop the retail industry with the cultural and tourism sectors where Korean citizens and foreigners can enjoy the event.

"Korea Sale Festa" is a huge shopping and tourism festival celebrated every year in South Korea. People can enjoy many benefits from the companies that are participating in the event which are from different industrial sectors including shopping, beauty, flight/transportation, accommodations, entertainment, Food & Beverages, tourist attractions, and more.

Korea Grand Sale, which is an expansion of Korea Sale Festa and the main event of the festival, is a famous shopping festival that offers great discounts, along with hallyu entertainment influences and cultural events throughout the month.

Moreover, the opening of Korea Sale FESTA was held at Yongdong-daero Avenue in Gangnam and COEX. The opening ceremony featured a K-POP concert featuring famous K-pop idols like SHINee, Wonder Girls, 2PM, Infinite, and more. There are also lots of fun activities for foreigners about the tradition, culture, and industry in South Korea.

According to the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, the top 5 department stores in South Korea already kicked off in their sales with a 24 percent record on the first day of the event. A total of 249 retailers, manufacturers and online malls will give promotions and discount throughout the 59,000 stores across South Korea which is has a wider coverage compared to the previous year.

Furthermore, the Seoul Metropolitan Government said that around 250,000 tourists were expected to visit the city because of the holiday in China on October giving their people the opportunity to visit South Korea.
