Report Reveals EXO Leads All K-Pop Male Groups in Brand Value

Allkpop reported that the Korea Institute of Corporate Reputation has announced the brand value data for K-Pop male groups with a period coverage from august 12 to September 13. The institute announced that SM Entertainment's male group EXO topped the list.

The standing was based on each of the group's participation value, communication value, and the overall brand value. Aside from EXO, the other groups in the top three include BTS and Seventeen. They were followed by VIXX, BIGBANG, INFINITE, BTOb, SHINee, B2ST, Block B, Sechskies, ZE:A, 2PM, Super Junior, B1A4, MONSTA X, B.A.P., TVXQ, WINNER, 2AM, TEEN TOP, F.T. Island, Shinhwa, and JYJ.

The report showed that EXO had a participation value of 1.53 million, a communication value of 4.88 million. The total brand value of the group is at around 6.41 million. They were able to post an approximate of 348.63 percent increase from August. BTS, the second top male group in terms of brand value had a participation value of 2.65 million and a communication value of 3.75 million. In total, the group had 6.40 million value. They also improved by 13.76 percent from last month.

Third-placer Seventeen had 638,3000 for participation value and 2.30 million in communication value, totaling to 2.94 brand value. The group had an increase of 30.77 percent.

Goo Chang Hwan, the Director of the Korea Institute of Corporate Reputation said, "The results of the September analysis for the brand value of boy groups show that BTS, which has protected its top ranking for a long time, has dropped down to second. EXO, which took first, are receiving good results in various music chart rankings, and while preparing the collaboration stage with Yoo Jae Suk, they grabbed a lot of attention from consumers."

While preparing for their collaboration song with Yoo Jae Suk, the boys of EXO said, "After listening to the {collaboration) song, the members even said that it is better than our own music. We will work hard to present a performance with Yoo Jae Suk that will live up to the high expectations."

At the group's recent "EXO PLANET #3 - The EXO'rDIUM" concert in Bangkok, Yoo stand on stage with EXO and performed the 32nd "SM Station" song titled "Dancing King."
