‘Love in the Moonlight’ (Moonlight Drawn By Clouds) Continues To Top Viewership Rating

South Korean drama 'Love in the Moonlight' or also known as Moonlight Drawn by Clouds has continued to get the number one spot and attain new height in the viewership rating after its seventh episode aired.

'Love in the Moonlight' airs at KBS 2TV channel directed by Kim Sung-Yoon and starring Korea's heart throb, actor Park Bo-gum and the innocent and pure beauty actress, Kim You-jung. It is derived from the web novel "Moonlight Drawn by Clouds" written by "kk" and Yoon Yi Soo.

According to the data gathered by Nielsen Korea, Love in the Moonlight garnered 20.4 percent of viewership rating nationwide on Monday night. The drama's viewership rating clearly increased compared to 18.8 percent rating last Tuesday. While in the capital city which is Seoul and some adjacent areas, it reached 20.9 percent viewership rating which pertains to people who are watching the drama.

On the other hand, Love in the Moonlight competitors which airs at the same time slot namely, "Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo" by SBS TV channel garnered 5.7 percent of viewers and "Monster" by MBC TV channel recorded 10.6 percent respectively.

Love in the Moonlight (Moonlight Drawn by Clouds) is a Korean historical drama about the life of Crown Prince Hyomyeong (Park Bo Gum), who ruled from 1827-1830 during the Joseon Dynasty because of King Sunjo, his father, depleting health. Hyomyeong falls in love with the fictional character Hong Ra-on (Kim You-jung), who serves as a eunuch in the palace and disguise herself as a man. The twist begins when Hyomyeong falls in love with Eunuch Hong believing that he is a man and not knowing that she is a girl.

On the seventh episode aired on Monday, many fans were surprised after Crown prince Hyomyeong confessed his feelings to Eunuch Hong and gave her a deep kiss.

Furthermore, 'Love in the Moonlight' (Moonlight Drawn by Clouds) airs every Monday and Tuesday nights at 10 p.m. KST.
