Samsung Galaxy Note 7 pulled out from market due to exploding batteries reports.

Samsung announced today that Galaxy Note 7 will be recalled from the market due to exploding battery reports.

A few weeks after its debut, reports about Samsung's new handset batteries have been circulating. According to complaints, batteries may explode when charging. The Seoul-based company already confirmed through the Wall Street Journal that 35 units or 24 out of 1 million sold, have the hazardous defect. Sales and distribution of the smartphone will cease in South Korea.

The Verge cited the statement of an unknown official of Samsung about the issue. He said that "the problem can be simply resolved by changing the battery, but we'll come up with convincing measures for our consumers." Further, it was mentioned that only 0.1 percent of the released units are installed with defective batts.

Prior the recall, reports on delayed pre-ordered shipments due to quality testing were already brought out. The company did not confirm the exact issue with the new handset until Sept. 2 The scheduled sale is also cancelled due to the incidence.

Samsung UK announced that "for UK customers who already have Galaxy Note 7 devices, we will voluntarily replace their current device with a new one over the coming weeks."  Meanwhile, the company recently discussed with Verizon and other carriers with regards to the management of the recall process, PC advisor reported.

This incident serves as another obstacle for the South Korean brand after its profits dropped last year. This year, both Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge improved the company's market share.

Galaxy Note 7 reviews were all positive until the explosive battery reports were disclosed. The handset is compared with iPhone 6S Plus because of its functionality, appearance and large screen. Some of its exciting features include the curved screen, USB-C charger port, nighttime filter, iris scanner and improved stylus functionality.
