Sony Unveils Xperia XZ with Laser Camera and Long Lasting Smart Battery
Sony teases public with its latest smartphone Xperia XZ that carries a laser camera and heavy duty smart battery.
Last February, the Japanese brand informed the public that its X series including XZ and X Compact will be released soon. The company promised the launch of handsets that are more personalized and intelligent during the IFA Conference in Berlin.
Sony's Executive Vice President of Global Sales and Marketing, Hideyuki Furumi said that "with Xperia we want to assist you when and where it matters most." Furumi emphasized the company's objective to make lives more convenient, spontaneous and effortless.
The laser camera of Xperia XZ offers blur-free pictures whether they were shot on night or day time. The device also has a triple image sensing technology that delivers real life colors to camera shots. It has a 23 and 13 megapixel rear and front-facing camera, respectively.
With Qnovo adaptive charging, XZ's charger automatically pauses once it replenishes 90 percent of the battery. Completion of charging takes place before its 2,900 mAh batt needs it. This battery care system prevents battery damage and promotes longevity, Daily Mail explained
The 5.2 inch handset also carries Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow software with 1,920x1,080 pixels display. It's fingerprint reader is available worldwide except in the United States. Fans can expect smooth usage with ZX's Snapdragon 820 processor and 3GB ram. Further, it has the sleekest look among Xperia X handsets because of Alkaleido, the metallic material used to provide natural brightness to the phone's display, Recombu reported.
A smart cleaner is also featured in this water-resistant smartphone which clears certain applications from the cache to improve performance.
Sony Xperia XZ is considered as the most premium handset among the members of X-series due to its camera and battery. It will debut internationally on October 2016.
