The beast idols of the K-Pop industry, 2PM, is gearing up for a new album which will be released in September.
According to various entertainment sources, the beastly idol group consists of Jun.K, Nichkhun, Taecyeon, Wooyoung, Junho, and Chansung will be doing a gentler "boyfriend image" for their upcoming comeback. Koreaboo also reported that the group is currently filming their music video for the title song near Seoul.
JYP Entertainment, the agency of the idol group released a statement saying, "The upcoming tracks will demonstrate a new side of 2PM."
The agency also said that the album would feature "very different" songs from previous albums and that it would be "soft and gentle," unlike the wild and energetic vibe of the group's past albums.
While preparing for their comeback, the members of the group are also busy with their individual events and activities. 2PM's lead vocalist, Jun.K recently wrapped up his promotions of his first solo mini-album entitled "Mr. No Love" that features the songs "Think About You" and "Young Forever."
During his solo promotions, Jun.K gave hints regarding the group's comeback. In an interview, the singer said, "2PM is preparing for a comeback as well. You can expect us by this September or October. The members are all working [on making songs]. You will be able to see an improved side of us."
Meanwhile, Taecyeon has just finished filming the hit television drama "Let's Fight, Ghost" with Kim So Hyun, just in time for his group's pending comeback. Junho has also finished 12 shows for his fourth solo Japanese tour while the youngest member Chansung is filming his web drama entitled "Romantic Boss."
The "I Can See Your Voice" episode last Thursday featured members Jun.K, Wooyoung, and Nichkhun who were tasked to identify the tone-deaf participants.
2PM's last album was released in June last year and was titled "No. 5."
The group debuted in 2008 with the song "10 out of 10," which also highlighted their acrobatic dance styles. 2PM is known for songs such as Heartbeat, "I'll Be Back," "Go Crazy," "Hands Up," and "Comeback When You Hear This Song."
