Trump’s New Campaign Tactic: Apologizing and Expressing Regret

The Republican nominee Donald Trump made another tactic to overcome his struggling presidential campaign by apologizing and expressing his regret over his campaign conduct in the past few weeks.

"Sometimes in the heat of debate and speaking on a multitude of issues, you don't choose the right words or you say the wrong thing. I have done that. And, believe it or not, I regret it. I do regret it. Particularly, where it may have caused personal pain," Trump said at a rally in North Carolina on Thursday.

Since the appointment of a new campaign manager and Trump's first appearance in public, the remarks that he got are sharp reversal of an approach that follows the proverb "never retract, never explain, and never apologize".

Trump faced a lot of controversies without regretting the words he said in different kinds of issues.  Due to Trump's rough opinion towards the parents of a Muslim war hero who died serving the US military forces, his standing in the US opinion polls have decreased greatly.

However, on Thursday, the republican presidential nominee acknowledged for the first time the damages that he made that affect his election standing.

"Too much is at stake for us to be consumed by these issues. As you know I am not a politician. I have never wanted to learn the language of the insiders, and I've never been politically correct - it takes far too much time, and can often make it more difficult to achieve total victory," Trump said at the Charlotte convention center.

Trump's new campaign tactic shocked the crowd during a rally that tributes the victims of Louisiana flooding. What's more shocking to the audience is when Trump is reading the outlines instead of using adlibs. A statement from Trump made the audience perplexed when he said "I've travelled all across this country laying out my bold and modern agenda for change."

Hillary Clinton, his democratic rival, ignored Trump's professed change of heart.

"Donald Trump literally started his campaign by insulting people. We learned tonight that his speechwriter and teleprompter knows he has much for which he should apologize. But that apology tonight is simply a well-written phrase until he tells us which of his many offensive, bullying and divisive comments he regrets - and changes his tune altogether," Clinton said during her campaign.

Despite of many criticisms received by Trump from his change of campaign tactic, many supporters seemed to accept and welcome the change from Donald Trump.
