Talk about performing through the pain!

EXO vocalist Kim "Kai" Jong will not be allowing an ankle injury sustained in dance rehearsal on Thursday keep him from finishing out the rest of the shows of the superstar K-pop boy band's EXO'luXion world tour.

He will however not be 100 percent, a spokesperson for the group's record label SM Entertainment told No Cut News, a daily newspaper run by South Korea's Christian Broadcasting System.

"Kai will limit as much movement as possible in order to participate in the encore performance," the rep said.

"In the case of energetic dance songs, performing normally will be difficult. After the concert is over, he will get some rest and plans to receive treatment."

Kai, who was diagnosed with having a swollen ligament in his left ankle, apologized for his injury on the group's official fansite.

"I feel so helpless and sad that such a thing has happened," he wrote. "I'm very sorry to all my fans. I'll get well quickly, so I get show you a better me for the rest of the year."

EXO fan Lotus Girl is outraged.

"All I want is a plan ticket to Korea," the K-popper wrote in a post on the Korean entertainment website allkpop.

"This is so hard, why should he be the one who's suffering? I hate SM for this. If I had the power, I would destroy SM for doing this to my beloved Kiddo."

Allkpop reader Mirusako agrees.

"If anything, SM should apologize to him for having him continue on with the tour," she wrote. "He won't be doing any heavy stuff, but he's still going to be moving around and not getting enough sleep."

While a fan commenting under the name Pinkmama recognizes a pattern in the South Korean pop music scene.

"I feel like the pressure to perform no matter the circumstances is huge in K-pop," she wrote. "Of course it's unfortunate that he got injured right when the tour was going on, but shouldn't he just rest?"
