The dinosaurs are coming!

Residents of the rural county of Goseong, located in South Korea's in South Gyeongsang Province roughly 300 miles outside of Seoul, are expecting some rather oversized visitors on April 1.

That is the opening day of the Gyeongnam Goseong Dinosaur World Expo. This will be the fourth time the 73-day event, which features scores of life-sized replicas of the giant reptiles, has taken place in Goseong. Previous expos have taken place in 2006, 2009 and 2012.

This year's theme is "Open the future with a dinosaur and the light of hope."

According to organizer Bin Yeong Ho a lot of time and effort is spent making sure attendees have the best time possible.

"We are doing our best so that visitors can leave with pleasure and satisfaction," Bin told the Korean news agency Yonhap, in an interview published Wednesday.

"For the daytime, we are focusing on giving excitement and joy to children. At night, dating couples and other adults will be able to make a beautiful memory of magnificent light."

An estimated 2 million people are expected to attend the Gyeongnam Goseong Dinosaur World Expo. In addition to the huge dinosaur replicas, the event will also include state-of-the-art hologram technology.

"It's our natural work to prepare more things to see and enjoy," Bin said.

Known locally as "The Land Of Dinosaurs," Goseong County is home to thousands of dinosaur fossils and is believed to have more than nearly anywhere else on earth.
