Who should be Ronda Rousey's next fight? UFC president Dana White has confirmed Rowdy will return to the octagon and she will fight a familiar foe.

After the events in recently-concluded UFC 196, people now know who Rousey will fight in her comeback gig as previously reported. She will take on the winner of the Holly Holm - Miesha Tate fight and to those who saw it, no need for a clue.

Miesha Tate choked out Holly Holm into submission in the fifth and final round to capture the women's bantamweight champion. White then confirmed who Ronda Rousey's next fight will be shortly after.

"No, I think that Ronda now will now fight Miesha Tate for the title - that's what's gonna happen," White Artem Safarov of Bloody Elbow when asked if Holly Holm will have a rematch with Rousey. "That's what I said before this fight even happened. Whoever wins tonight will fight Ronda for the title."

He also revealed that he already informed Rousey about her next assignment and her reply is "Looks like I gotta get back to work."

White did not reveal when Rousey's octagon re-appearance will happen. In fact, he is willing to let her take a longer rest.

"Ronda Rousey has worked very hard for three and a half years for this company," he said. "She did everything that was asked, and went above and beyond the call of duty. If she wants to stay out until October, I will let her do that."

Ronda Rousey - Miesha Tate fight has already happened twice and in both instances, the latter lost. Both losses were of submission via armbar.

Tate is jubilant with the victory over Holm and is not thinking yet about Rousey yet.

"I don't have a choice. It doesn't matter to me; it's my management's responsibility and the UFC's responsibility," she said after the match. "My job is to show up and defend this belt so it makes no difference to me."

She also paid respect to her 34-year-old counterpart who he said remains a champion.
