With "Outlander" season 2 premiere just around the corner, the Starz TV series teased fans with a photo that is no short of portraying the characters and their personalities - daring and adventurous.
Entertainment Weekly released a series of sexy photos ahead of "Outlander" season 2 premiere date on April 9. These images featured couple Jamie (Sam Heughan) and Claire (Caitriona Balfe). The first one showed them on top of each other with almost no clothes on.

While some fans are enthusiastic about the "Outlander" season 2 teaser photos, some just can't help but let out the conservative in them. They even think it almost look like it is trying to sell the show as a soft porn.
Diana Gabaldon, author of the novel where the show is based from, completely disagrees with that. She said the photo only depicts what the show is like and it is not out of the ordinary if other UK shows will be considered.
"If you honestly think this cover is 'smut' or 'soft porn,' then all I can say is that y'all should maybe get out more," she told Entertainment Weekly.
"If you've ever watched television in the U.K., you've seen more explicit things than this three or four times in an evening. If you've been watching Outlander (as theoretically you have), you've seen much more explicit sexual encounters on several occasions. Were these not 'smut'? Is it okay to watch 'soft porn' in the privacy of your home, but intolerable that other people should glimpse it on a magazine cover?"
"Outlander" season 2 premiere date is April 9 and it will kick off with the couple more matured now as they face the challenge of raising a child and completing a political mission.
In another interview, Heughan said that unlike the first season, their show's sophomore run will have less sex scenes.
"Well, now they're married," Heughan noted during an interview with Elle.
"Claire is pregnant, and Jamie is suffering from the trauma of season one and what happened to him at the end. So their relationship is in a very strange place now. The honeymoon is kind of over. But that doesn't mean they won't get back there. They have a lot going on and they're working on their relationship. Their relationship is less innocent and young. It's now more grown up."
