It seems Charlotte Hornets is looking for some sort of Linsanity from Courtney Lee with Jeremy Lin merely spending 21 instead of 30 crucial minutes at Sunday's game.

"Jeremy Lin scored 15 points on 4-of-7 shooting Sunday, to go with one rebound, one assist, one block and one turnover in 21 minutes of action," Rotoworld noted regarding the Hornets' match with the Hawks.

"Lin needs around 30 minutes a night in order to produce reliable value in standard leagues, and that won't be happening with Courtney Lee locked in as the starting two-guard in Charlotte."

Earlier, the site reported that nothing short of an injury on one of the Charlotte Hornets' starting five might bring back the Linsanity-hungry team that recently prefers Lee over off-the-bench player Jeremy Lin.

According to the site, Lin "would gain value with an injury to any starting non-center."

The site noted that Lee was getting more airtime on the court compared with Jeremy Lin.

"With Courtney Lee now getting heavy burn at shooting guard, there won't be much time available for Lin," the news site said.

"Jeremy Lin scored seven points with three rebounds, two assists and one 3-pointer in 22 minutes against the Pacers on Friday."

The site also noted Jeremy Lin's undervalued performance this season, as the player known for his Linsanity only posted a mere 11.8 point per game average. The Charlotte Hornets player, however, only had less than a more desired 30-minute playing time.

Sportsrageous echoed this observation on the Charlotte Hornets' recent strategic choices.

Amid the fandom surrounding the widely celebrated "Linsanity," it would appear that the Charlotte Hornets are choosing Lee over Jeremy Lin's proven on-court performance.

"Jeremy Lin came off the bench to score 7 points but was just 3-of-8 from the field and played just 22 minutes," the site said.

The 27-year-old player was not only losing points, he was also "losing minutes at this point of the season."

Rotoworld stats place Lin's three rebounds and two assists as part of his contributions during last Friday's game against the Indiana Pacers.

According to the site, Lee isn't bad himself.

"Courtney Lee played 39 minutes against the Pacers on Friday with seven points, four rebounds, two assists, three steals and one 3-pointer."

Rotoworld added that with the Hornets' offense relying on three-pointers, they should invest more in Lin with at least 33 to 37 minutes on the court.

According to NBA.com, Jeremy Lin has only played an average of 9.8 minutes this season, which does not bode well for the Charlotte Hornets as far as Linsanity is concerned.
