Rihanna Feeling Better? ‘Anti’ Artist Bounces Back From Bronchitis As Concert Tour Dates Moved
TMZ posted a photograph of partying Rihanna, who is promoting her album "Anti" but has had to move the tour schedule possibly because of her bronchitis.
"We broke the story, her reps told us Rihanna bailed at the last minute on the Grammys because her doctor warned her that her bronchitis was so bad, if she sang she'd do permanent damage," TMZ said.
Rumors also have it that the 28-year-old "Umbrella" artist was a diva backstage because she wasn't happy with the seating arrangements at the Grammys.
RiRi had to back out of performing at the Grammys at the last minute upon doctor's orders.
She would reportedly permanently damage her vocal cords if she insisted at the Grammys gig.
"Whatever the case, any bronchitis is not holding her down," TMZ added.
"Based on Rihanna's examination, after Grammy rehearsal today, Rihanna's doctor put her on vocal rest for 48 hours because she was at risk of hemorrhaging her vocal cords," according to a statement sent to Us Magazine.
"The antibiotics she has been on for three days did not kill the infection adequately, therefore she cannot perform safely."
USA Today said that the "Anti" album world tour was supposed to begin this week, quoting Rihanna rep Amanda Sullivan.
"The tour will now begin on March 12 in Jacksonville, Fla., with the first eight tour stops - San Diego, Houston, Austin, Dallas, Atlanta, Phoenix, New Orleans, Oakland and San Jose, Calif. - rescheduled for May. Tickets from the originally scheduled shows will be honored for the new dates," USA Today wrote.
The tour will also feature Big Sean, The Weeknd and Travi$ Scott.
The reschedule moves the album tour date to begin on Mar. 12, Billboard.com wrote.
Billboard also posted the rescheduled dates as follows: May 1 (Phoenix, Arizona at the Talking Stick Resort Arena), May 6 (San Jose, California at the SAP Center), May 7 (Oakland, California at the Oracle Arena), May 9 (San Diego, California at the Viejas Arena), May 13 (Dallas at the American Airlines Center), May 14 (Austin at the Frank Erwin Center), May 15 (Houston, Toyota Center), May 17 (New Orleans at the Smoothie King Center) and May 18 (Atlanta at the Philips Arena).
