NBA Trade Rumors 2016: Rockets Thornton, Motiejunas To Pistons As Clippers Stephenson Goes To Memphis?

With NBA trade rumors 2016 continuously circulating, many basketball fans are staying glued to the Internet to get some needed news. For this update, chopping blocks are up for Houston Rockets and Los Angeles Clippers.

It was reported that Detroit Pistons got Marcus Thornton and Donatas Motiejunas from the Houston Rockets but apparently, the trade deal is not yet final, NBA reported. Thus, the duo were not able to play last Sunday in the game opposed to the New Orleans Pelicans.

It was reported that Motejunas still had to undergo a physical exam before being able to play again due to his back surgery last April 2015. As for Thornton, it was reported that he can’t play unless the process has been finalized. Pistons coach Stan Van Gundy said as this is usually a part of the trade process, the team is not frustrated nor do they want to rush through things.

The Detroit News reported that the trade was supposed to be over by Sunday night but due to the complexity of the records of Motiejunas, a 24-hour extension was requested hence the deadline was moved to Monday night.

Stephenson was reportedly able to debut in the game against Toronto Raptors but apparently, he did not bring his A game on. The Grizzlies was reported to have lost 98-85 to the Raptors.
