Backstreet Boys Recording A New Album; AJ McLean Confirms Talks For A Spice Girls Tour

The Backstreet Boys are back in the studio recording new material for an upcoming album.

The group made headlines last year with their documentary "Show 'Em What You're Made Of's" release and Nick Carter's silver medal win on "Dancing With the Stars."

Now, the boys are back to recording materials, presumably for a follow-up to 2013's "In A World Like This."

According to Perez Hilton, members A.J McLean, Howie Dorough, Brian Littrell and Kevin Richardson have shared photos of themselves back in the studio along with the hashtag #NewBSB2016.

Members have also teased at the possibility of a future tour with The Spice Girls.

"The Spice Girls tour has been this idea bouncing around for the past year and a half, and it's something we're still talking about," McLean said in a statement.

Nick Carter, who is currently on tour in support of his solo album "All American," hasn't posted anything about the Backstreet Boys' new album.

The 36-year-old musician was arrested last month following a "bar brawl" in Florida. According to NME, the "I Want It That Way" singer was charged with misdemeanor battery.

Carter took to social media and apologized for his behaviour.

Producers have yet to announce an exact release date for the Backstreet Boys' new album.
