'Gotham' - 'Flash' - 'Arrow' Crossover? Batman Prequel Show's Actor Explains How It Can Be Possible
"Gotham" season 2 return will feature new villains.
Mr. Freeze, Hugo Strange, Azrael, and more will make the lives of people in the city and Jim Gordon (Ben McKenzie) miserable. These might drive him crazy and make him crossover to the dark side.
That is a lot of villains for the police detective to take on. Maybe he need some help? Like from other DC characters Green Arrow and The Flash through a crossover episode?
Two shows combining for one night has been quite of a trend among comic book television series today. CW Network's "Arrow" started it with "The Flash" and now, the latter is about to do it with "Supergirl" from CBS.
"Gotham" - Arrow-verse crossover is quite of a stretch though as the two have different timelines. Young Bruce Wayne David Mazouz thinks that is what hinders a possible "Gotham" - "Arrow" crossover episode.
"I think the main problem with a Gotham crossover-I think a lot of the other shows, it works-but Gotham takes place in the past," he told his audience during the Dallas Comic Con Fans Day.
"And I think Bruce Wayne is supposed to be the same-in the comic books-is the same age as Barry Allen and Oliver Queen and Supergirl. And the main problem is that obviously I'm not the same age as Stephen Amell or Grant Gustin."
However, he is not closing his doors. With the fact that time traveling has been introduced in "The Flash" and it is now the main theme of another spinoff series "Legends of Tomorrow", he believes it might still happen.
"And so unless there's a time travel thing that's introduced in one of those shows-and it's probably not going to be introduced in Gotham-I don't think a crossover will practically work. But you never know," he further said.
His co-star Sean Pertwee, who plays Alfred Pennyworth, is not that optimistic though.
"Yeah, there's sort of rumblings, isn't there, in the press recently about it. You know, I can't see it happening," the British actor said.
