‘Terminator Genisys 2’ 2017 Just Delayed; Emilia Clarke Keen To Play Sarah Connor Again

The “Terminator Genisys 2” 2017 release is rumored to be not happening, but according to reports, the sequel is just delayed, and in fact, Emilia Clarke and other cast members are delighted to be a part of the sequel.

The Wrap reported that in an interview with Dana Goldberg, the Skydance chief creative officer shared that the sequel is currently being re-adjusted. Production for the film, which was supposed to be released in 2017, will not begin early this year. Goldberg reportedly promised that the franchise will definitely be back though they are taking their time to do some research first.

The “Terminator Genisys 2” 2017 release could have halted after the first film reported grossed only $90 million when the company’s budget was over $155 million. The movie did get a total of $350 million worldwide and Skydance was reportedly happy with it.

Additionally, Emilia Clarke who played Sarah Connor in the first film is very eager and excited in still being a part of the sequel, KpopStarz reported. The “Game of Thrones” actress reportedly claimed that she fell in with her character and that she was hooked to the movie when she was younger.

Another equally eager actor is Matt Smith, Den of Geeks reported. Smith has apparently signed for a trilogy and while the news of the sequel being removed from the official Paramount lineup for 2017, the actor is positive that it might be picked up soon or in the future.

Other rumors that are circulating the Internet is the return of Arnold Schwarzenegger in the sequel but probably as a digital version. Though there is no confirmation about this, Movie Web reported that during their interview with Sheldon Stopsack, the brains behind the digital, younger version of Schwarzenegger, it can be a possibility.

With “Terminator Genisys 2” 2017 still happening, it could produce other plots or twists that fans can definitely appreciate.
