‘Shades Of Blue’Sticks For Another Season; NBC Commends Jennifer Lopez Leading The TV Show?
NBC's TV show that showcased one of hottest female detectives in town is reported to be back on its season two. Led by Jennifer Lopez, "Shades of Blue" is expected to grace once again the resourceful skills of Harlee Santos.
Numerous reports said that the TV show will definitely be back as it gave success to NBC in terms of ratings. Rumors even said that "Shades of Blue," which is co-produced by Jennifer Lopez and Ryan Seacrest, is winning its Thursday night slot against other programs.
According to TV Guide, thanks to the season one of Lopez's new detective series the said network brought back its top spot in Thursday night in-season regular programming over its rivalries for at least five years now.
"It has an average 2.5 rating in adults 18-49 and 11.2 million viewers overall, and is one of the most time-shifted shows on TV - meaning recorded and watched later - with boosts as much as 95 percent in mid-January," the source above reported.
Meanwhile, various reports speculated that Jennifer Lopez couldn't keep up on doing "Shades of Blue" but it seemed like the singer/actress slammed all the rumors as she was commended by NBC by joggling very well her detective series,"American Idol" and Las Vegas Residency.
"We want to thank Jennifer, who is the hardest working woman we know, for her incredible efforts as both the star and producer of this show," said NBC's entertainment president Jennifer Salke, noted Deadline.
"As well as our other amazing producers and cast for all their tireless work in creating one of the most compelling dramas on television today," Salke added.
"Shades of Blue," directed by Adi Hasak, will set Lopez's character Harlee Santos back to her whirlwind drama in safeguarding her job and staying with her daughter in the upcoming season two.
NBC's detective TV show also stars Drea de Matteo, Warren Kole, Dayo Okeniyi, Vincent Laresca, Hampton Fluker, and Sarah Jeffery.
