Manny Pacquiao's next fight, against Timothy Bradley, is just around the corner but his training is interrupted after what he just said against homosexuals.

He was dropped by Nike for what the apparel describe as "abhorrent" comments.

However, that is the least of his problem.

Pacman, who earlier claimed will be retiring after Bradley, is being urged to postpone the bout for its airing violates election code. Manny is running for senator in the Philippines. He is currently a congressman for the province of Saranggani.

Fellow senatoriable Walden Bello said that the Manny Pacquiao - Timothy Bradley Fight fight will break the rules set by the country's Commission on Elections (COMELEC) saying an election candidate is only allowed 120 minutes of airtime on television and 180 minutes in radio stations throughout the whole campaign period.

"The Comelec made these rules about the range of political advertisements including news spots, appearing in all of these different shows in which basically, they said that if the candidate is the centerpiece of all these spots, that cannot be allowed because that should be strictly within the Comelec hour, the 120 and the 180," Belo told ANC.

He also thinks the build-up, interviews and promotions for Manny Pacquiao's next fight gives the boxer unfair advantage over others. He also urged COMELEC to implement the rules for parity.

"I think the Comelec should live up to the rules that it has promulgated and tell Manny Pacquiao that he has to postpone his fight until after the elections, and they can't make an exception of one candidate from the strict rules that they have promulgated for all of us," he said.

Manny Pacquiao is currently no. 8 in election surveys. The country will vote 12 new senators. Election period is in the second week of February. His stock is expected to rise higher after the storm created by his comments against LGBT community.

The Manny Pacquiao - Timothy Bradley fight, on the other hand, is scheduled on April 9.
