Member Of K-Pop Girl Group AOA Seolhyun Is Set To Appear In A Series Of Special Episodes For Five-Minute Show ‘Hello Korean’ To Teach Correct Usage Of Korean Language
South Korean singer and actress Seolhyun is set to appear in a series of episodes for KBS show "Hello Korean," wherein she will teach the proper usage of Korean language, Korea Joongang Daily reported on Thursday.
20-year-old Seolhyun is a member of K-pop girl group AOA or Ace of Angels. The eight-member group made its debut in 2012 with their first single entitled "Angels' Story."
Meanwhile, reports reveal that the singer-actress will appear in four episodes of "Hello Korean," a five-minute show that airs in state-run broadcasting company KBS. Seolhyun will join comedian Heo Kyung Hwan for the show.
"Unlike previous shows which lecture on the correct usage of Korean in a rather serious way, this will let viewers know which way is right and wrong in friendly ways." KBS stated.
Her first appearance will take place on October 9 at 12:00 P.M. Seolhyun and Heo reportedly have prepared a couple of parodies to lighten the mood of the show.
According to reports, Seolhyun has appeared in a number of variety shows, television dramas and a couple of movies including "Gangnam 1970," wherein the singer-actress shared the screen with South Korean actor Lee Min Ho.
The 28-year-old actor even admits that he had fun filming with Seolhyun, as reported by Drama Fever on Dec. 12, 2014.
"The day of filming [with Seolhyun] was a lot of fun. I don't think I have smiled that wide in six months," Lee said. "To be honest, I'm usually very influenced by my character. He's supposed to be dark, but on the day I filmed with Seolhyun, I smiled so much."
He continued, "She had sadness in her eyes, so I asked her if there was any trouble at home. She told me that her parents get along well, and her family is bright. She is a pretty kid."
Seolhyun on the other hand said she was close with Lee while the film's shooting was ongoing, however, she added that the two of them felt uncomfortable when they met again after the project was done.
"I was really close with Min Ho oppa during filming," Seolhyun said, as noted by Soompi on Feb. 11. "He looked after me well. There was even a time when he brought over a mosquito net and we waited underneath it together."
She added, "When we met again for the first time in a while, to do press for the film, it was slightly awkward and uncomfortable between us."
"Gangnam 1970" or "Gangnam Blues" is a South Korean action film that revolves around the life of two childhood friends who were separated by clashes between political powers and criminal groups.
