Rumors of Lily Collins and Nick Jonas dating have apparently reached the ears of the actress' famous father, Phil Collins.
Does daddy approve of the budding romance?
Apparently, the "Love, Rosie" star denied the rumored relationship to her dad despite the reports coming up about them.
"[I'm] not sure what Nick looks like," the iconic musician reportedly told Yahoo! Celebrity. "But Lily called me the other day and she was in Mammoth where all this was happening. I'm here with a friend she told me and said it's not serious. It's just friends."
He also shared some of the words of wisdom that he supposedly told his daughter about living in the limelight.
"[This] is what I mean she is now in the public eye and has to put up with all that kind of stuff and she can't keep that stuff private anymore," he said. "When I started in this industry there was no Internet. Now things rattle all over the world. She is getting used to it."
On the other hand, the "Jealous" singer looked suspicious when he answered a question about his rumored new girlfriend to Entertainment Tonight.
"I hate to say it, Nick, but your love life is always in the headlines. Can you comment on the Lily Collins rumors?" The ET host asked the singer during the ESPN The Party event before the Super Bowl last week.
According to Seventeen, he adorably "blushed and grinned" but managed to keep mum about the rumors.
"I can't at all. At all," he answered cryptically.
Nick Jonas and Lily Collins' dating rumors aside, the "Chains" singer reportedly reunited with another rumored lover, Kate Hudson, over the Super Bowl weekend.
The 23-year-old singer and actor reportedly "reconnected" with the 36-year-old actress just days after being linked to Collins.
"Nick and Lily have been talking and spending a little bit of time together ... then Kate and Nick reconnected this weekend," a source reportedly said, according to People, adding that the age gap was "a bit of a concern."
"There's definitely an attraction there, and they're just trying to figure out how to make sense of the situation."
