Jana Duggar Upset She Didn't Get A TLC Spinoff Like Jill And Jessa After Josh Scandal? '19KAC' Update
With updated plans for a "19 Kids and Counting" TLC reboot still remaining vague after Josh Duggar's scandals, many fans are hoping for another spinoff series that could keep them preoccupied following "Jill and Jessa: Counting On."
Some believe that after shying away from the limelight for quite sometime, it could be Jana Duggar's time to shine.
However, a recent update clarified that Jana, the second oldest sibling after Josh, wouldn't be starring in a spinoff show, unlike her younger sisters, Jill and Jessa.
"Despite reports that Jana Duggar is getting her own TLC spinoff show, the 19 Kids & Counting family has put out a statement denying this," The Hollywood Gossip reported in an update article.
"Starring role or not, Jana - a 26-year-old, beautiful, single young woman untainted by scandal - seemed like the perfect choice to focus on. She's everyone's favorite Duggar, after all. Well, at least here at THG," the article continued.
"Viewers are still very interested in their lives, especially 'Cinderella' Jana, who is said to be eager to start her own family and have kids."
With Jill and Jessa being being married and now having their own families, is Jana Duggar feeling left out? Does she feel that a spinoff series would have been a good opportunity for her to be known by fans outside the negative light cast by Josh Duggar's scandals?
Actually, it doesn't seem that Jana is one to hog the limelight. According to reports, the "19 Kids and Counting" star is a grounded woman who doesn't mind looking after her younger siblings - so much so that some media outits paint her to be a second mom to Jim Bob and Michelle's toddlers.
In fact, Radar Online reported last month that Jana Duggar spent her 26th birthday looking after her siblings.
The "19 Kids and Counting" family continue to update fans about the happenings in their home as well as Jill and Jessa's families through their family blog. However, the family seems to be keeping out information about Josh Duggar's treatment in a "faith-based" rehab in Colorado.
