Crash Bandicoot PS4 Release Date Cancelled; Game Not Pushing Through Despite Initial Reports!
Fans have been trying to scour the internet to get news about the reported release date of the famous PS1 game, Crash Bandicoot. Now it seems that the game is not pushing through after all.
In a report by Gamespot, an update was posted that claimed the game to not be in any plans for production. A representative for NECA spoke to the site and cleared up the initial reports of the game being confirmed.
"It's not the case," the rep said. "Someone has misunderstood a comment he made. Randy saw a faked fan-made image right before he came to the show and said that if the game were coming back, we'd love to do figures."
As the public knows, the apparent resurfacing of Crash Bandicoot has been making headlines as the director of product development from NECA, Randy Falk, initially talked about how he is excited for the said game in the future. This fueled numerous rumors about the release dates being confirmed and etc.
Moreso, publications were quick to jump in on the bandwagon and wrote their articles about it. In the same article, as the one cited above, Falk previously talked with Pixel Dan at the New York Toy Fair and he mentioned something about Crash Bandicoot being brought back.
"Finally, we've been able to get back in with Sony," Falk said, talking about new toys that NECA is making for the 'God of War' and 'Uncharted' series.
"Looking at some of their other titles, I see they're bringing Crash Bandicoot back, which is really cool."
Now that an update has been published and officially from a representative from NECA nonetheless, fans have been feeling sad about the alleged release date for "Crash Bandicoot" not pushing through.
However, they are still hopeful that this will change in the future, given the hype that the apparent false news brought about.
