Amid the August 2016 anticipated release date for "Narcos" season 2, could there be a possibility that it would be delayed further due to certain concerns?

In its report, iDigital Times claimed that the expected premiere schedule may not be followed.

"Narcos is changing showrunners once again, putting season 2's August 2016 release date in jeopardy," the outlet pointed out.

While noting that "This is the third time since the end of season 1 that 'Narcos' has changed showrunners," the report divulged that the Netflix series "has chosen to leave the position vacant."

It can be recalled that "Narcos" season 1's original showrunner Chris Brancato left the show for ABC's "Of Kings and Prophets" thus leaving it with Adam Fierro, who is supposed to run season 2.

"With the news of Fierro's replacement however, one can't help but wonder if the second season of Netflix's golden goose is poised to lose some of its 'Narcos' mysticism that it captured so magically in season 1," the reported stated.

Moreover, it was disclosed that the show opted to tap Jose Padilha and Eric Newman as the executive producers of "Narcos" season 2.

The iDigital Times spoilers further narrated that Padilha would continue to act as director in the second instalment of the American drug-related drama series.

On the other hand, Netflix Life reported that the second season could probably be the last considering that Wagner Moura's character, Escobar, would finally face his death, as dished by producer Eric Newman.

With the main star leaving "Narcos" after season 2's run, it was theorized in the spoilers that many fans may no longer find watching the Netflix series interesting and exciting.

"There's always the possibility of Moura being involved in flashback scenes even if his character is dead in real time, but would you watch 'Narcos' if it didn't have Escobar?" the site raised.

Keep posted for more "Narcos" season 2 spoilers and the final release date!
