The new "Game Of Thrones" season 6 trailer just threw fans in a loop.
Could Kit Harington's Jon Snow really be dead after all?
The teaser, titled "Hall Of Faces," started off showing the faces of all the characters who died early in previous seasons. The Hall, where Arya spent majority of last season, held all the faces of the dead.
Ned, Catelyn and Robb Stark all appeared along with echoes of what they said in the past. Jon Snow also appeared, following the flow of events during the season 5 finale where he was stabbed to death by his own men.
Jon's appearance there somehow puts some major damper in the reports that the Lord Commander is actually still alive. Kit Harington had previously been spotted channeling Jon Snow as he filmed in Belfast in past months.
A previous "Game Of Thrones" teaser also focused on his character, giving fans hope that he will still return to the show.
The Verge pointed out that the new trailer is a warning that viewers will be stepping into "uncharted territory" in the sixth season.
"That means that anyone of 'Game of Thrones' hundreds of characters could be breathing their last this season, and today's trailer rams that point home, hovering ominously around the Stark siblings, as well as other major characters," the report said.
Aside from the Starks, another main character was also shown in the Hall Of Faces. The disembodied face of Peter Dinklage's Tyrion Lannister, the beloved anti-hero of "Game Of Thrones," also appeared in the Hall. Could he be the next major casualty of the show?
According to the trailer, this seems to be the case.
With this teaser, it seems that fans will have Tyrion's well-being to worry about aside from Kit Harington's celebrated character, Jon Snow.
With "Winds Of Winter" still not published, casual viewers and hardcore fans are all in the dark as to what will happen in season 6, increasing the anticipation for it.
