'Winds Of Winter' Release Date Pushed Back To 2017? Spoilers Excluded From Upcoming 'Game Of Thrones' Series

Even though the "Game of Thrones" season 6 is on the verge of its release, there are no signs of the launch of the much-awaited novel "Winds of Winter."

The latest speculations claim that the release date of the novel series has been moved to 2017 and will probably be available before the seventh season of the "Game of Thrones" series.

Moreover, the author, George R. R. Martin, confirmed the news in a blog post that the "Winds of Winter" release date has been delayed due to unavoidable interviews, TV guesting's and even travels.

Besides, Martin claimed that he is a slow writer and that he requires time to carve the stories and chapters properly.

"I never thought the series could possibly catch up with the books, but it has," the acclaimed writer said as reported by Yibada reported. "The show moved faster than I anticipated and I moved more slowly. There were other factors too, but that was the main one."

Master Herald reported that the upcoming "Winds of Winter" novel will consist of around 1150 pages similar to previous novels in the series and is one of the main reasons for the delay of the novel release.

In the meantime, there are speculations that the upcoming season 6 of "Game of Thrones" series will not showcase any spoilers from the next installment of the novel series

"Will the show 'spoil' the novels?" George R.R. Martin posted as reported by Bustle. "Maybe, Yes and No."

Having said that the 67-year-old author also revealed that the upcoming new season of the television series will also showcase some plot details, which are yet to be featured in the books, reported Christian Post.

Furthermore, it is rumored that the spoilers from the upcoming installment will be showcased in the season 7 of the "Game of Thrones" series.

In addition, to the novel's release date rumors, some spoilers for the upcoming season 6 of the television series suggest that the lead character, Jon Snow, will be shown alive and probably will become the heir of the Stark dynasty.

The season 6 of "Game of Thrones" is set to be aired on April 24 on HBO network.
