While most of the lead characters in the "Power Rangers" movie are newcomers, it is reported that actress Elizabeth Banks will join the cast as the villain Rita Repulsa.
According to BuzzFeed, Australian actor Dacre Montgomery will be playing Austin St. John's former character, Red Ranger. The Blue Ranger, which was previously played by David Yost, is reported to be played by RJ Cyler, while Black Ranger, which was originally made famous by Walter Jones, will be played by Ludi Lin.
The two female lead characters Naomi Scott and Becky Gomez, who were reportedly playing Pink Ranger and Yellow Ranger, respectively, did not pose any workout updates but apparently, both are also undergoing training.
The movie will be directed by Dean Israelite, New Now Next wrote. Israelite is known for his “Project Almanac” and “Acholiland” movies. No other details have been revealed aside from the cast but like in any action flicks, it was reported that body doubles will still be employed to ensure the safety of the artists.
