Pia Wurtzbach Receives Most Donations After Miss Universe 2015 Takes NYFW By Storm

Fresh from her hosting stint at the Super Bowl 50, Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach was spotted at the runway of the New York Fashion Week for a benefit event.

"Pia was one of the celebrities who walked down the runway for the American Heart Association's Go Red for Women's fashion event presented by Macy's," Enstarz reported.

"Pia walked the runway in a red gown with a plunging neckline designed by Carmen Marc Valvo."

Wurtzbach's time on the runway was for the benefit of women who were affected by heart ailments.

A peek at the Go Red for Women website showed that Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach received the most donations to her name, at $2,283 as of this writing.

The 26-year-old Filipino beauty even promoted the link at her official Instagram account, with a link directing browsers to Go for Red.

Pia Wurtzbach has again generated buzz for her ability to walk her talk, after her answer at last year's Miss Universe 2015 pageant had her saying she is "confidently beautiful with a heart."

The site added that 24 women walked the runway at the New York Fashion Week, with the lineup of lovely ladies including Olivia Culpo, who was Miss Universe 2012, and singers Monica and Debbie Gibson.

Zeibiz said that the event was held through the efforts of the American Heart Association, which held the event the same week as Valentine's Day to promote awareness for heart diseases of women.

Bustle, meanwhile, praised the Miss Universe 2015 beauty.

"Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach's New York Fashion Week debut proved that she still has what it takes to rule the runway," the site said.

It also lauded the choice of Pia at the event.

"Wurtzbach definitely has the potential and the fierce walk to become a high fashion model," the article said.

"Plus, with the lack of Asian models in fashion still an ongoing issue, a woman who already represents beauty from all over the world - the universe, rather - is the obvious choice."
